Boris the Humanitarian

Whoops, I spoke too soon. Here he is meeting Nelson Mandela the day after shooting hoops. Ok, I guess I have to give the media some time to do it's job.

Boris Shoots Hoops

How come when Boris Becker does something good, you hardly hear about it? I had a really hard time finding even a mention of his trip to South Africa as part of Peace Players International, and when I finally did find an article, it wouldn't let me rip the pic from the site.

But here he is shooting hoops in Durban last week. Click the link if you'd like to see him flex his skills on the court. Boris said his secret passion was always basketball. I'm glad we got to see him in his tennis shorts instead :-)

My favorite man gets wet with his boys at the beach. Not sure what vacation they were on this time. They might just be home in Miami. Ahh, the life.

Family Ties

Anxiously waiting for new pics? Have no fear, our favorite "player" is scheduled to be a presenter at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Munich on November 1st. Sure to get some good pics out of that one. I hope Lily will be with him.

In the meantime, here's some related news. A cosmetics company that used Boris's seven year old daughter Anna (we all know how she was conceived, no need to re-hash the details) in an advertising campaign for nail polish has been fined for exploiting child labor laws. The company apparently did not seek proper approval for her appearance before the work was done.

Anna appeared at a trade show promoting Alessandro cosmetics nail polish for girls age 5 and up. First of all, what the heck do 5 year old girls need with nail polish??

Boris has said that if it were up to him, she wouldn't be modeling. Here he is with all of his children - what a lovely family.

Boris Tees Off

Look at Boris tee off at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in Scotland last Friday and Saturday. This was Becker's fourth time playing in the links and he says his most memorable moment in golf was his first round at St. Andrews. Other amateur/celebrity participants included Samuel L. Jackson, Hugh Grant and Ray Romano.

Wish I could figure out how he faired, but I can't seem to find that info anywhere...

Boris Enjoys the Brew

I'm a little behind...but here's Boris having a night out with the boys. Boris and German Davis Cup Captain Patrick Kuehnen enjoy the brew at the Bild Wiesn Stammtisch in the Hippodrom beer tent during Oktoberfest Beer Festival on September 27.
