Boris Gets Inducted

Two days later our man was once again recognized for his greatness by being inducted into the Rogers Cup Hall of Fame in Toronto, Canada. Becker won the tournament title in 1986. He also treated fans to an exihibition match with Canadian Daniel Nestor, which Nestor won.

This is the only picture I could find from the week's event. Seriously. It's Boris and one of his old hitting partners. He even took the time to have lunch with him while he was there. Such a sweetheart.

And on the 19th Becker got dolled up to attend the ELLE Fashion Star award ceremony during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Berlin. Check out the gloves on Lagerfeld (as in Karl, Mr. House of Chanel, far right). Those wacky fashionistas.

And on July 8th Boris and the boys took in a match at the Mercedes Cup event in Stuttgart, Germany.

I love seeing him spend time with the kids.

And as part of the 46664 events, Boris lended his signature to a brand new Mercedes C350. The car, which contained autographs from celebrities including Annie Lenox, Amy Winehouse and Peter Gabriel, was set to be auctioned off with all proceeds to go to the 46664 foundation.

And two days later he attended the 46664 Concert, featuring performers such as Amy Winehouse, Leona Lewis, Simple Minds and Will Smith.

Boris Honors Mandela

Boy, our boy has a busy schedule this month.


Here he is on June 25th attending a dinner celebrating his pal Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday in Hyde Park. The event also raised money for The Nelson Mandela Foundation and 46664, the global initiative benefitting the Nelson Mandela Foundation's work to fight the spread of AIDS.

He's so passionate.

Boris at IWC Laureus Polo Cup 2008

Ok. Seriously. This has to stop. Can this man get any hotter? When we figure out how to clone humans, I'll be first in line to get my own, personal BB#2!

IWC makes kickass watches for hotties like Boris and Laureus is the charitable foundation with the sports academy that includes 46 of the greatest living sporting legends, of which Becker, of course, is one.

It's a been a while since we've seen the kids! The proud dad and his sons Noah and Elias attended the Ralph Lauren Wimbledon Garden Party on June 21st in London.

Looks like Noah is still rockin' the fro. Nice.

Boris Takes In Some Footy

Remember Euro 2008? Yes I'm way behind. Well, Boris took in a match, Austria vs. Germany on June 16th. And no, that's not another girlfriend, it's Elvira Netzer, wife of former footballer and current TV commentator Guenter Netzer.

Germany won this one and went on to the finals, but untimately lost to Spain on June 29th.

She does look quite happy to be in the company of our Boris, doesn't she?

Boris in Top Spin 3

Check out the Boris Becker screen shot released by 2K from its upcoming Top Spin 3 (Nintendo Wii, PS3, Xbox 360).

Tentatively scheduled to be released on May 20, Becker is included as one of the "Classic Legends" gamers will have the chance to play with. It's touted as the most realistic tennis video game to date. Ooh, I wanna play!

Classic legends are not available on all platforms, however. What's up with that? Other available players include James Blake, Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer and a few of the chics.

The 9th Annual Laureus World Sports Awards took place earlier this week in St. Petersburg, Russia. Here is Boris looking ultra hot as he takes part in the Media Conferences on February 17th.




He also hung out with Nadia Comaneci at the Welcome Reception later that night.

On to the main event on Monday night, Boris is photographed on the red carpet with Kyle McLachlan from Sex in the City.

The Laureus World Sports Awards is the only global sports awards honoring the greatest sportsmen and women across all sports each year. Boris is one of the 45 elite members of Laureus World Sports Academy, the ultimate sporting jury which votes each year to determine the winners of the awards.

Well, Boris's health is back. He was at the Golden Camera awards in Berlin on Wednesday, February 6th where he presented Australian pop princess Kylie Minogue with the award for Best International Act.

And you should have heard the buzz on the blogosphere after Boris gave her a customary peck on the cheek while presenting the award!

I guess it's been so long since Boris has been single for so long that we're eager to pair the sexy charmer with a lady. I mean, I haven't been able to link him to any woman since the split with Lily in November. Surely Boris hasn't been celebate since then???

I'm sure you were all eagerly awaiting the results of Boris' first European Poker Tour showing as a member of Team PokerStars, but unfortunately he has fallen ill and doctors have insisted he not travel.

The EPT Dortmund, Germany will have to go on without him. And we'll have to wait a little while longer to watch him serve aces on the felt (sorry, I tried, I don't know anything about poker).

Becker is slated to show his skills at the Monte Carlo Grand Final, April 12-17, 2008.

Boris does Naomi?? Nah...

You gotta love the folks at Hello Magazine. They're reporting that while attending the Hugo Boss show at Berlin Fashion Week last weekend, our man Boris Becker chatted up supermodel Naomi Campbell.

Much was made of the fact that she was seen laughing at his jokes.

He's a hot, funny guy, can you blame her?

I like Naomi (she's Jamaican!!) and of course I love Boris, but I don't think there's anything to it.

And I'm not done. Boris was in Berlin yesterday attending the Hugo Boss fashion show, part of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. The best dressed man in sport? This guy doesn't think so.

And, Boris is quite the tennis predictor. While in Doha, the legend sited Novak Djokovic as one of the players that could challenge King Federer's reign (yes I'm giving him all the credit).

"I think Federer is the favorite to win the Australian Open, but Nadal and Djokovic could surprise him in Australia or in the future," Becker said. Read more of what he had to say about match-fixing and power players here.

And here's a little trivia: Djokovic is often described as a mix of Boom Boom Becker and Yannick Noah. Boris named his first son after the former French player.

And congrats to Djokovic and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga! I'm looking forward to watching more of both of them.

Yes, I owe my faithful readers an apology - I have been crazy busy and not able to give Mr. Becker and this blog the attention it deserves. But all of that is about to change!

I never did find out how he spent new years (he's slick!) but we'll re-start this blog with his appearance at the Qatar Masters Golf Tournament. Boris participated in the Pro-Am in Doha on Wednesday, January 23rd.
