Boris Knows How to Text

Alright, so if you haven't already heard (yes, I'm slacking) Ms. Lily is saying that Boris broke up with her via text message! Text message? Now, I'm pro Boris Becker all the time, but a text? C'mon BB!

Reports say that the day before he turned 40, Boris sent a text message to the lovely 31 year old Ms. Kerssenberg, telling her not to bother coming to his birthday party. See, I knew she wasn't there. The pic some papers used to show her arrival at Carpaccio last week looked nothing like her, that's why I didn't use it here.

The two have been together for three years, but it sounds like our Boris has been frustrated by the relationship for some time. (I had a feeling something was up).

Several reports say that the two had a screaming match last week that might have set it off.

But in a interview with Germany’s Bunte magazine Lily insists that she still loves Boris. She says, "The way in which it was done hurt me deeply. That was anything but cool. But he is the love of my life. He was the perfect boyfriend for me, a true gentleman. I admire him so much."

Perfect boyfriend?? True gentleman??

Poor Lil’. He dumped you with a text message sweetie! If that's really how it went down, that's anything but gentlemanly. Me thinks the relationship came to an end with that screaming match and he sent the text just to make sure she was clear. However, that's just me speculating. (Always pro Boris, remember?).

Boris Becker's Poker Face

If you haven't already heard, Boris Becker has found a new way to keep busy since becoming single. He has joined Team Pokerstars as one of their sponsored players!

He will play in professional tournaments such as the PokerStars.com European Poker Tour (EPT) in Dortmund from January 29th - February 2nd and the Grand Finale in Monte Carlo from April 12th-17th. He'll also play in online tournaments and appear in the new TV ads.

After many years of playing poker recreationally, and in between tennis matches because he said it helped him improve his concentration, he's now playing to challenge himself and become really competitive at the highest levels that poker has to offer.

That's so sexy.

Boris Parties On

And just how did Boris ring in his 40th year? With a grand fete at Carpaccio Restaurant in London! A party that was reportedly attended by both his ex-wife, Barbara Feltus, his ex-girlfriend Sharlely "Lily" Kerssenberg and a "mystery woman."

Reports say Boris arrived at the party with ex-wife Feltus and their sons Noah, 13, and Elias, eight. And he left the party with this mystery woman.

Hmmm, I thought there was no one waiting in the wings after Lily?

And we get some more rumors/insight into what went wrong between Boris and the Dutch model Kerssenberg. Several sites have reported that ultimately Boris still wanted a girlfriend and not a wife. They say Lily was the one pushing for more of a committment and more kids! Wow, since Becker's statement on the split, I thought it was the other way around. They say Boris wants to concentrate his focus on the children he already has.

And possibly this mystery woman. Stay tuned...

Happy Birthday Boris!!

On this day 40 years ago, Boris Becker was born. And for that I'm very grateful! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BORIS!!

Boris & Lily Splitsville???

And in a post that breaks my heart to write (really it does!) the Bangkok Post is reporting that Boris Becker has split from his Dutch model girlfriend Sharlely Kerssenberg!! Can it be true?? Read the full story here.

The article says it got the news from "friends of the former tennis star" and quotes Boris as telling Revue magazine "We came to realize in the course of time that we stood for different lifestyles. In such a situation you have to be honest with each other." Could this statement have been taken out of context?? Or been in reference to a previous relationship??

As reported here (wink) the couple were last seen together at the MTV Europe VMA's on November 1st. Since Boris has been jetting around the world with his ambassador self, I didn't really give much thought to why Lily wasn't with him.

Wow, think of all the great photo opps we have lost!! I wonder if Lily will now be captioned as "the former girlfriend of Boris Becker." Or if the media will continue taking photos of her at all? Haven't seen much of Caroline Rocher since she and BB split.

Looks like Boris is getting his priorities in order, since winning custody of his seven year old daughter Anna a couple weeks ago. And there is no mystery lady said to be waiting in the wings to hitch a ride on Becker's arm.

Sigh. I won't shed a tear yet, I'll wait until I get further confirmation before saying a final farewell to Lily. We might have to do a full photo retrospective on that one!

And in further ‘Boris takes over the Middle East’ news, both Becker and F1 Master Michael Schumacher will have their names adorning new towers in Dubai. Construction of “Michael Schumacher Business Avenue” and “Boris Becker Tower” will begin within the next three months.

Ambassador Becker

So Boris is quite the ambassador these days! In his passionate and unrelenting efforts to raise the profile of Tennis across the globe, Becker confirmed he is setting up a tennis academy in partnership with Riffa Views Signature Estates in Bahrain.

Construction of the academy, which will bear his name, is expected to be completed by next summer.

The three-time Wimbledon champ spent last week in the kingdom playing in a charity golf event, attending the finals of the Riffa Views Cup, holding an autograph session and looking hot!

He plans to play an active role in the academy and travel to Bahrain several times a year to personally coach its students. I love his commitment!

Boris Becker Wins Again!

What Boris Becker wants, Boris Becker gets. And he doesn't waste any time either. As recently reported, Boris has been troubled by the way his daughter Anna was being consistently paraded in front of the media by her mother, "model" Angela Ermakova. He voiced his concerns in a courtroom in London on Wednesday and ultimately won joint custody of the seven year old.

Ermakova and Becker never had a proper visitation schedule and every time he wanted to spend time with his daughter, he had to seek Ermakova's premission to do so. Now he has won the right to unite all of his children on a regular basis. You can read the full story here. Game, set, match: Becker!!

Yes, Boris is worried about the way his daughter Anna is being put on show, and rightfully so! In an article published in this week's edition of German Stern Magazine, Boris is critical of Anna's mother "model" Angela Ermakova. Again, I won't rehash how little Anna was conceived. Here's a link to an english article that basically wraps up how he feels.

Ermakova really bugs me, I hate to even give her press in this blog. She parades Anna around for attention and then doesn't even have a proper visitation schedule set up with Boris! Man she bugs, I'm glad Boris is speaking out about it.

And finally, what we've all really been waiting for - pics from the MTV Europe Video Music Awards in Munich yesterday!!!! It's been a while since we've seen 'His Hotness' out on the town with his lady friend, but here they are and they didn't disappoint.

How come when Boris Becker does something good, you hardly hear about it? I had a really hard time finding even a mention of his trip to South Africa as part of Peace Players International, and when I finally did find an article, it wouldn't let me rip the pic from the site.
